Blurb: Unlocking Modes is exactly what it says on the tin, it teaches you my insight into how to use modes. There are a few theories and methods floating around but I believe mine to be the most thorough and one of the most useful. Despite only scratching the surface of my methods the main video lessons clock in at just shy of 90 mins and covers how to create all seven modes, what exactly they REALLY are and also a few applications.
There is also a further (just shy of) 20 mins of video of me improvising over the 7 backing tracks (also included) and teaching seven licks, one for each mode.
This of course comes with all 7 backing tracks as well as two PDF booklets, one with the main lesson material (and a couple of tips on how to solo in each modal backing track) and a sheet with each of the seven licks tabbed out.
I believe this to be a fantastic guide to modes whether you are a total novice to the subject or whether you are already quite seasoned in the area, there is always more to learn!

2013 so far has been interesting and a lot of hard work. The club / cover scene seems to be all but dead and I’m considering getting out and involving myself more thoroughly in other areas of music as the work is really drying up there.

On the plus side, the album (Man In The Telescope) is coming together nicely and work has begun on the project that will follow the release of MITT, but more on that at a later date. The tentative release date for MITT is this summer. I now have the skills of a talented vocalist and we will be getting into the vocal tracking and production within the next few months.

Recording has finally begun, excited!

The album is going well, considering how little time I have.

Things are starting to slowly but surely take shape and there are lots of cool and exciting people on board. Andrew Bell Music has been doing an awesome job with the MIDI programming for the orchestral arrangements bringing my music to life, it is sounding huge. I think this is going to be a really awesome album and I hope you all enjoy the journey I’m about to embark on when recording it, this is going to be a LOT of work!
